Successful completion of the drop test supports approval of the kit as compliant dangerous goods packaging prior to carriage. DfT are responsible for wider aviation security therefore these drop tests enables improved aviation security outcomes by providing better assurance that screening processes can detect explosive traces or odours effectively.
