Contract Details
National Highways have developed an Asset Data Improvement Plan (ADIP) - a Road Investment Strategy period 3 (RIS3) company delivery commitment - which will support data improvements throughout RIS3 with benefits realised progressively as milestones are achieved. A key early milestone in the ADIP is the development of Use Cases for our asset data. Use Cases are clearly documented data requirements and specifications to fulfil a specific business need. They allow not just the collation of our asset data requirements but also enable a measurement of whether our data is 'fit for purpose'. includes the governance the company should use in managing its asset data. This includes the requirement to create Use Cases to document defined data requirements with clear ownership of each Use Case in place. This task is to provide asset data Use Cases by both reviewing and updating existing documents that articulate our asset data requirement with stakeholders, and to align this to the new data governance and format as defined in the IMS. This work is a key enabler of the company's Asset Data Improvement Plan (ADIP) and is included in the planned programme of activities. This task will report progress to ADIP.
