Contract Details

The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Trust) requires a Supplier for provision of insurance for the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Trust)'s commercial activities. Pharmaceutical liability insurance covers legal liabilities in respect of death of or bodily injury to any person arising out of an accident in connection with its commercial activities. NHS Resolution Schemes (e.g. CNST, LTPS) are designed to cover core NHS activities, primarily clinical negligence arising from treatment of NHS patients and Liabilities directly linked to provision of NHS healthcare services. Pharmaceutical liability insurance covers liabilities in respect of noncore NHS risks arising from commercial, research, and product-related activities rather than standard clinical negligence. The Trust is therefore required to put a contract with a Supplier in place to provide pharmaceutical liability insurance to cover risks outside the scope of NHS Resolutions, responding to activities that fall outside the NHS Resolution Schemes. The term of the contract is 36 months.
