Contract Details

The Employer, following a structural engineer's report identifying defects to existing concrete balustrades and walkways, requires the provision of a suitably experiences and qualified Scaffolding Contractor to provide designs, supply, erect, maintain and dismantle temporary scaffolding systems to provide safe, continuous temporary handrails to all affected areas within occupied residential blocks. The temporary works are required to mitigate fall risks and ensure resident safety pending permanent remedial works. The works shall include, but not be limited to: - Site inspections and survey of all affected walkways and balustrades. - Liaison with the Employer / Managing agent regarding access and sequencing. - Design of temporary scaffolding handrail systems. - Supply and installation of all scaffold components. - Provision of edge protection to exposed edges. - Routine inspection, maintenance and adjustment. - Safe dismantling and making good on completion. The Contract is let on a JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 basis with a contract term of 12 months commencing on the 6th July 2026 with an option to extend the contract of up to a further 2nr 12 months up to the 5th July 2029 at the absolute sole discrestion of the Employer. There is no volume or workflow guarantee, but indicatively it is anticipated that orders for works between £0 and £200,000 per annum may be issued via this contract. The initial works to be undertaken to the following blocks in Year 1: Kelvin House, Danecourt Road, Bradford, BD4 0DE: A 9-storey and plant room GF-8F purpose-built, single stairway, detached flats tower block containing 57 flats. The building consists of 2 blocks arranged in an offset H shape, with the two (2) blocks joined together at upper floor levels by semi-enclosed bridges. Ogden House, Danecourt Road, Bradford, BD4 0DF: A 9 storey (B-8F) purpose-built single stairway detached flats tower block containing 55 flats and offices. The building consists of two separate blocks arranged in an H shape, with the two blocks joined together at upper floor levels by semi-enclosed bridges. The bridges contain a lift, protected stairway enclosure. Further works and future Years: Incommunities reserves the right to include similar type works to other HRBs within its portfolio. At Incommunities request, the same detail, design and site surveys are to be carried out for the following HRBs; Thorpe Edge Blocks: Gerard House, Fairhaven Green, Bradford, BD10 9QU Ailsa House, 65 Fairhaven Green, Bradford, BD10 9ND Thorold House, Fairhaven Green, Bradford, BD10 9QT Waryn House, Haigh Beck View, Bradford, BD10 9NE This underlying contract is awarded via Mini Competition from Lot 1 - Scaffolding and Associated Services of the EN:Procure Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Scaffolding and Associated Services (OJEU Contract Notice 2025/S 000-005663).
