Contract Details

This work order is to appoint an independent specialist to carry out the mandatory annual audits needed to keep the company's ISO 55001 asset management certification in place between 2026 and 2028. Holding this certification is a requirement of our operating licence and demonstrates to regulators, government and the public that we manage and maintain our road assets in a safe, controlled and long term manner. If these audits are not completed on time, the organisation risks losing certification, which would undermine regulatory compliance, weaken assurance over asset safety and performance, and expose the business to reputational and operational risk. The work includes one surveillance audit in 2026, a full recertification audit in 2027 against the latest standard, and a further surveillance audit in 2028, each producing clear reports and executive summaries highlighting risks, compliance gaps and improvement actions. This programme is therefore both time critical and business critical, providing independent assurance that our asset management system remains effective, compliant and focused on managing safety, performance and value for money across the network.
