The investor-backed group adds Jefferies to its portfolio, joining LCB Group and Osborne Property Services
Cardo Group, a new player in the social housing maintenance sector, has completed its third acquisition in four months. The group has bought Jefferies, a West Midlands-based contractor that specialises in building repairs and improvements for social housing clients.
Jefferies was founded by Terry Ware in 2008 and has a turnover of around £15 million. The company operates across the Midlands and works with several housing associations and local authorities. Jefferies will join LCB Group and Osborne Property Services, which were acquired by Cardo Group in May and August respectively.
Cardo Group was established in May 2021 with the backing of private investors. The group aims to create a national platform of social housing maintenance contractors that share common values and standards. The group’s annual turnover is now £115 million, with over 650 direct employees.
Liam Bevan, CEO of Cardo Group, said he was pleased to welcome Jefferies to the group and to expand its geographical coverage. He said Jefferies has a strong reputation and track record in the social housing market and shares the group’s vision and values. He said Cardo Group will continue to look for new opportunities to grow and diversify its services.
